About the Halton Local Offer

NEW Local Offer Steering Group

Since it’s introduction in September 2014, the Halton Local Offer has been developed and reviewed together with children, young people, parents, carers and professionals

It is a user-friendly online website for everyone, providing information across different topics including, education, health and social care for children and young people with SEN and/or disabilities

From May 2020, a NEW Local Offer Steering Group has been set up to undertake a detailed review of the Halton Local Offer

This work is currently taking place on a ‘virtual’ basis due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as we are unable to meet face to face to do this work

Children, young people, parents, carers and professionals have volunteered to become members of the Steering Group so that they can represent the views of other children, young people, parents and carers within Halton

Steering Group members will guide the development of the Halton Local Offer to make sure that it is:

  • easy to understand, factual and jargon free
  • that it is structured in a way that relates to their/your needs
  • that the information on the Local Offer is what we they/you want to know about and is up to date

All Steering Group members are Champions of the Halton Local Offer, this means they will:

  • promote, sign-post and help other people to use or find information on the Halton Local Offer
  • identify any missing information, suggestions, feedback or website issues experienced in completing this role
  • help to ensure that the Halton Local Offer remains current and accessible

Progress made by the Steering Group will be included shortly on the You Said, We Did section of the Halton Local Offer
